From the time I was a young girl I was exposed to the joys of travel. Several times a year I’d take off with my Mom and Aunt on a new adventure. We visited cities and towns that laid the foundation of our nation, we toured through the states of my southern heritage. With my Dad I explored the breathtaking natural beauty of the Yosemite Valley, and the Californian coast. And of course – there was always more Disney.
I was raised to believe that there’s a whole world out there just waiting to be explored, and I’ve tried to instill that into my children. Now that my kids are grown my husband and I enter a new stage of our lives where I can finally put taking care of myself at the beginning of my to do list.
I started this little blog in a pure form – just a place to record my thoughts and track my progress as I train for the 2018 runDisney Princess Half Marathon. It seems like a crazy goal to reach as I battle back from 4 years of illness and injury. I may not be the fastest or the strongest, but I’ll be damned if I don’t give it my all. You can read more about the long and winding road of my training journey in this previous post.
That being said – for the past 6 years I’ve had the joy of making my living as a freelance travel writer and photographer. My articles and pictures have appeared in travel industry websites, blogs, guide books, and newsletters. As a new blogger I became a dedicated brand advocate, I have enjoyed creating long term relationships with companies my whole family loves. Here are just of few of the companies that I’ve worked with in the past:
Disney Events Group
Disney Social Media Moms
Disney Motion Pictures
Disney Vacation Club
Dreamworks Motion Pictures
Dressing Your Truth
Global Resort Homes
Kissimmee Convention and Visitors Bureau
Walt Disney Records
and Wizard World, Inc.
